Note: K-5 teachers use the Everyday Math Series from University of Chicago and other materials for their program.

4th Grade Science Content Includes:
- the history of life on earth starting at 4,500 BYA
- classification and evolution of animals and insects, habitats, biomes, diversity
- denizens of the ocean and ocean floor
- oceans and their role in history
- ocean scientists and their tools
- health and welfare of the earth
- currents, weather, topography, geology, cartography, depth, pressure, zonation
- simple and complex machines, physics of motion, energy, Rube Goldberg contest
- theme-related topics such as China and Japan
